The freeze-drying process in our Circular Freeze Dehydrator involves three core stages:
Freezing: The pre-treated material is placed into the freeze-drying chamber and rapidly cooled below its triple point temperature, causing the moisture to turn into ice.
Primary Drying (Sublimation): Under high-vacuum conditions (usually 10-30 Pa), the ice sublimates directly into water vapor, which is then condensed into ice on the cold trap (operating at-50°C to-70°C).
Secondary Drying (Desorption): After the sublimation process, bound water is removed by heating the material under vacuum conditions to achieve the desired final moisture content (1%-4%). The whole process is accurately controlled by the PLC system to ensure uniformity and quality.
Stainless Steel Construction & Compliance:
The main body is made of 316L stainless steel, meeting hygiene and corrosion-resistance requirements of GMP, HACCP, and FDA standards.
Integrated Automation:
A PLC + 10-inch touchscreen control system supports program-based operation, real-time monitoring of parameters like chamber temperature, vacuum level, and shelf temperature, and data logging for traceability.
Efficient Vacuum & Refrigeration:
It is equipped with a two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump and a cascaded refrigeration system (using refrigerants like R404A/R23). This enables fast freezing and strong cold trap capacity, thus shortening the cycle time.
Modular & Scalable:
Available in configurations with single-layer, double-layer, or multi-layer chambers, it can meet the needs of lab-scale R&D (0.2㎡-0.5㎡) and production-scale (50㎡ and above).
Energy Optimization:
The insulated design and intelligent heating control help reduce energy waste and lower operating costs.
Precision Temperature Control:
The shelf temperature control accuracy is ±1°C, ensuring uniform drying across batches; the cold trap temperature stability of ±2°C guarantees efficient capture of water vapor.
Smart Process Optimization:
The built-in lyophilization program library can match different material properties, optimizing parameters for freezing, primary/secondary drying.
CIP/SIP Ready (Optional):
For food/pharmaceutical applications, optional clean-in-place/sterilize-in-place systems ensure hygiene without the need for disassembly.
Safety & Reliability:
Features such as vacuum over-pressure protection, freeze-drying chamber door interlock, and automatic emergency stop systems are included to ensure safety.
Food Industry: Used for freeze-drying fruits (such as strawberries, mangoes), vegetables (such as onions, green beans), soups, seasonings, pet food, and instant noodle broth. This helps retain color, aroma, and nutritional value while extending shelf life.
Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology: Applied in producing lyophilized vaccines, antibiotics, plasma, enzymes, and biological preparations to maintain bioactivity during storage and transportation.
Environmental & Scientific Research: Used for preserving biological samples (like soil and water) for long-term storage and analysis; also finds applications in nanomaterials, archaeology (preservation of organic artifacts), and aerospace food.
